Water for Students-Community Comes Together for School

Contaminated drinking water at Government Girls High School (GGHS) 225-RB, District Faisalabad, Punjab province, exposed girls to hazardous conditions. With student: classroom ratio bordering at 60:1, the overcrowded school was adopted by Humqadam-SCRP. Three new classrooms and toilets were provisioned to address the issues which were completed in June, 2017.

Much-Improved Educational Experience for Girls in Faisalabad

In District Faisalabad, Punjab province, Humqadam-SCRP has provided improved infrastructure to pave way for successful educational attainments. For over 700 girls at GGHS Chak 7 JB Nalka Kohala, the provision of five new classrooms and toilets has been a much needed reprieve. No longer having to cramp in classrooms and use dirty toilets, the students now feel safe, secure and included in their community school. Complete with ramps and a toilet for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), the school’s transformation is bringing a much-improved educational experience for the students.

Begum Shahab-Ud-Din Higher Secondary School presented a festive look as the Minister of Education, Atif Khan; A/g Deputy High Commissioner of Australia, David Preston, and the DFID Officials arrived for the Stone Laying Ceremony on July 12, 2017. The officials and the school Principal were briefed on the construction plan through a 3-D Model of the school.
