Humqadam-SCRP Is Improving the
Existing Government Schools for Girls
by Providing Safe, Inclusive, and Conducive Learning Environments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province

Gorkhatri is a monument located in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province which is providing a learning environment to children from generations to generations at Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Begum Shahab Ud Din. But today the school’s management is unable to meet the needs of the students due to unavailability of facilities.

Humqadam-SCRP is constructing the school’s building which will be a game changer for the students of GGHSS Begum Shahab ud Din, including two academic blocks with 35 classrooms and 20 toilets which will enable the students to study in safe, inclusive, and conducive environment.

Humqadam-SCRP is also providing four science labs, an exam hall, a staff room, a library, a clerk's office, principal’s office, three separate toilets for staff, and four storerooms to the school. Rehabilitation of the old academic building is also being done in parallel to the new construction.

“Humqadam is rebuilding this school, I am closely observing the construction in progress and I really appreciate the way it is being carried out. We look forward for the students to study in best facilities.” expressed Fawad Ahmad Awan CCSI chairperson shared views on Humqadam working in Begum Shahab U Din School.

In District Peshawar, Humqadam-SCRP has completed construction in 36 schools including 22 regular schools and 14 Higher Secondary Schools with 83 new classrooms and 444 rehabilitated classrooms as of December 2018.
